Success starts today ( not tomorrow)

Hey Family,
I had a conversation with one of my mentees this week that really stuck with me. They looked at me and said, "I hate being in business right now. It’s just too much."
And you know what my response was? I get it.
After 26 years in this game, I’ll be the first to tell you: this isn’t for everyone. There are nights I dream about my business. There are days I wish I could just clock out at 5:00 PM, leave the stress at the door, and go home without the weight of every department—marketing, sales, HR, and operations—resting on my shoulders.
Whether you’ve been at this for 90 days or 9 years, I want to give you a massive pat on the back. You are still here. You have the endurance, the thick skin, and the grit that most people simply don’t possess. Give yourself some credit for that today.
Success Starts on Sunday
Most people wait for Monday morning to get "ready." But if you look at the calendar, the week starts today.
I’ve learned that I am only as successful as I am prepared. That’s why Sunday is my sacred time. It’s when I schedule the social media, check my quotas, and prep my mindset. If you don't plan for your success, you’re inadvertently planning for chaos.
Be Your Own Advocate
Over the last two decades, the biggest tool I’ve developed isn't a marketing hack—it’s the ability to understand what I’m made of and, more importantly, where I lack.
Knowing you have a gap is only half the battle. To win, you have to be an advocate for yourself.
If you lack a skill: Find the resource or the tool.
If you lack time: Create a boundary or find a system.
If you lack peace: Prioritize your mental health.
Don’t just "take the lack." Acknowledging a weakness without doing anything about it isn't a win—it's a trap. This week, I want you to be an advocate for your own capacity. Don't take on more than your mindset can handle. Set the standards. Protect your boundaries.
My Challenge to You Today:
Before you go to bed tonight, take 30 minutes to prep. Look at your week. Identify one area where you’ve been struggling and find one resource to help you bridge that gap.
You’ve got the heart for this. Now, let’s make sure you have the plan to match.
Rooting for you always,
Coach Shey
