WELCOME TO MARKETING

The marketing intern will serve in the marketing department,assisting with marketing, public relations, communications, and online engagement functions to meet the needs of the company. The intern will serve in a capacity that best fosters skill-development, utilizes the intern’s strengths brought forth, and mutually benefits all parties.

 

JOB PURPOSE AND SCOPE

The marketing intern reports to Shey Morton, Marking Director & Communication Specialist, for all job functions. The intern is expected to report to work (online ) per a schedule as agreed upon by Shey Morton and the intern. If a situation precludes reporting to work, the intern will call Shey prior to the assigned work time, with as much notice as possible, and daily as long as the work commitment is not able to be met. The standard work week varies. All Interns will be able to reach Director or Staff via email 24 Hours a day.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Copywriting & editing

  • Assist with special events

  • Prepare emails/blog material

  • Create & track social media content

  • Research new technology and social media opportunities

  • Website updates

  • Monitor, measure, and track website with Google Analytics

  • Organize media clippings

  • Update media guide

  • Track marketing materials

  • Promote organization compliance of branding guidelines

  • Assist in various duties as needed

  • KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / ABILITIES Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint

  • Execute social media tactics to drive engagement and demand generation

  • Manage communities on social media properties and facilitate engagement between users and subject matter experts

  • Manage an editorial calendar for pushing content into social media channels

  • Communicates with external agencies and vendors to obtain and share necessary project deliverables and assets

  • Develop insights and strategic recommendationsAssists with other management and office related projects as requested

  • Updating weekly resource needs and availabilities

 

BONUSES

There will be a Bi-Weekly bonus paid to Full Time Interns AFTER 30 days of Internship. 25% Of The Bonus is a stipend for Virtual Interns using there own internet and computer. 75% Of the Bonus is based on Performance & Attendance. Interns working under there FULL TIME scheduled hours will only receive the 25% stipend.

 

ATTENDANCE

Interns are expected to clock in and out as scheduled. Late Arrivals and Call Outs will affect your bonuses. 

 

MEETINGS

Virtual Interns will have MANDATORY Meeting once a week with Supervisor. Via Webcam

 

ADDITIONAL BONUSES CAN BE MADE ON ALL MARKETING INTERNSHIPS. WE WELCOME YOU PUTTING MORE TIME IN TO MAKE MORE MONEY. THE BUSINESS MAKES MONEY, YOU MAKE MONEY!! YOU WILL GET PAID FOR EACH REFFERAL OUTSIDE OF YOUR QUOTA
