 **System for Award Management (SAM):**
The SAM is a United States government system that consolidates the capabilities of multiple systems and databases used by those who want to do business with the federal government. This includes the Central Contractor Registry (CCR), the Online Representations and Certifications Application (ORCA), and the Excluded Parties List System (EPLS).

 

All Awards registration allows you to bid on contracts and other procurements, as well as apply for financial assistance. Look for the icon on the left to submit an All Awards registration.

 

Financial Assistance Awards Only registration allows you to apply for financial assistance, or grants and loans, only. Look for the icon on the left to submit a Financial Assistance Only registration.

 

**Unique Entity Identifier (UEI):**
As of April 2022, the SAM system assigns a Unique Entity Identifier to each entity (i.e., company, organization, individual) that does business with the federal government. Before April 2022, the Dun & Bradstreet DUNS number was used for this purpose, but now the General Services Administration (GSA) automatically assigns a UEI during the SAM registration process.

  • All Awards

    *Full SAM Registration and Award Management Services:**
    This would include obtaining a UEI as well as completing the full registration process in SAM, which is necessary to be eligible to apply for federal contracts, grants, and other federal assistance and awards. In addition to registration, this service might include assistance with managing the entity's SAM profile, renewing the registration annually, and ensuring compliance with federal requirements.

  • Things Needed to apply:

    - Legal business name and any DBA (doing business as) names
    - Physical and mailing addresses
    - Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN) or Employer Identification Number (EIN)
    - Banking information for Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) > Checking & Routing if All Awards
    - General business information (such as type of business, annual revenue, number of employees)
    - Information about company officials and stakeholders
    - CAGE (Commercial and Government Entity) Code, if already assigned
    - Past performance history, if applicable

    - Naics Codes: Industry Codes ( www.naics.com)
    - Information about any past federal government contracts or grants

     

    NOTE: If the business address does NOT match on all documents, you may be required to provide Bank Statements or Amendments completed with the Secretary Of State
