ToolBank Order

What is Tool Bank?

The heart of the ToolBank is the tool lending program. Charitable organizations have year-round access to the ToolBank’s inventory of tools and equipment for a nominal fee. ToolBank tools are only available to organizations, such as:

  • Nonprofit/Charitable/Tax exempt organizations

  • Schools and PTAs/PTOs

  • Neighborhood associations

  • Faith-based groups

  • Civic organizations

  • Government agencies

Borrowing ToolBank tools is inexpensive, convenient and fully functional – maximizing our member agencies ability to improve community engagement and to achieve greater impact for those they serve.

How to order:

1. Pick tools needed from list below. 

2. Place order on form.

3. Receive a confirmation within 24-48 hours ( availability NOT guaranteed ) 

4. If approved / Deposit required & Your good to go!

Deposit: Business911 requires a $75 Deposit on all orders $100 or less / and $150 Deposit on all orders over $100. Deposit is required at time of approved order. Deposit will be returned IN FULL (48 hours) AFTER all items are returned and confirmations is received from Toolbank. $25 ADMIN FEE Deducted from deposit.

Tool Handling Fees: Member Agencies pay a Tool Handling Fee equal to 3% of the retail value of each tool borrowed per week. Tools may be borrowed from one to eight weeks.

Late Fees: Overdue tools accrue late fees at 6% of the retail value of each tool borrowed value every week until the tools are returned, replaced, or its replacement cost is paid in full (see below).

Replacement Costs: Member Agencies are assessed a replacement cost in the event that a tool is declared lost, parts are missing, or the tool is broken or no longer usable due to misuse or abuse. We do not charge replacement fees for tools broken during their intended use, so long as the broken tool is returned.

Cleaning Fees: Member Agencies are assessed a cleaning fee if tools are returned excessively dirty or returned with dried paint, caulk, mud, or other substances. Agencies are given the opportunity to clean tools before fees are assessed.
